The Beluar are considered masters of combat, battle tactics and are generally the first to arms in a conflict. It is widely believed that they were moulded and infused alongside the first of the Helinar 13,000 years ago, and often find themselves in conflict with other members of the Faelar.
The Beluar are a proud and sometimes stubborn collective, focusing their collective force on the arts of war and battle, rarely straying from a life of combat and adventure. For this reason, they are often formed under many different stars - making them either Dilettantes or Practitioners, choosing to serve as Wardens in the wild - or more commonly as combat instructors at the College of Mu. Their hardy resolve and formidable strength in groups makes them the first called to battle and the most eager to attain glory.
While normally not born as magical-based Practitioners, it is not uncommon for aspiring Beluar to use magic in non-traditional and newer styles - normally destruction and self-strengthening focused. Many Beluar develop a passion for stone and metal-based craftsmanship and architecture, and are often commissioned in the construction of buildings or other structures within greater society.
Beluar are a short and stocky subrace from The Faelar, and stand about a foot shorter than most, with wide, compact bodies that account for their burly appearance. Their skin is often a greyish colour to a brighter lilac and is commonly covered with tattoos and other permanent markings. Male Beluar pride themselves on the long length of their facial hair, andoften decorate their beards with a variety of clasps and intricate braids. Clean-shavenness on a male Beluar is a sure sign of madness, or worse. Their hair and eyes often glows a brighter orange or red, which originates from their ashen-oriented births.
Their physique and 'unnatural' birth is distinct from the Elénaril and Círdan - who make no secret of their distastes towards the Beluar collective.
Size: Beluar stand between 4 and 5 feet tall and average about 150 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Languages: You can speak Agni and speak, read and write Dravish. Dravish is full of hard consonants and guttural sounds, and those characteristics spill over into whatever other language a Beluar might speak.
Ability Score Increase: Your Constitution score increases by 2.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 25 feet. Your speed is not reduced by wearing heavy armor.
Darkvision: You have superior vision in dark and dim conditions. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Beluar Resilience: You have advantage on saving throws against poison, and you have resistance against poison damage.
Combat Training: Every Beluar will have either trained in combat at the College of Mu or in some other fashion. You have proficiency with the battleaxe, handaxe, light hammer, and warhammer.
Stonecunning: Whenever you make an Intelligence (History) check related to the origin of stonework, you are considered proficient in the History skill and add double your proficiency bonus to the check, instead of your normal proficiency bonus.
